My wife and I met Shannon Tipton in November of 2006 while in search of purchasing a piece of property in Tennessee. Being from Florida and on vacation at the time, we did not have a lot of time to search for the right place that we hoped would eventually become our retirement place to live. We had been with a couple other realtors in the area but just weren’t finding what we wanted. After speaking on the phone with Shannon and giving her what we were kind of looking for, we met for the first time in Saddle Ridge, on a gravel road. The thing that really impressed us about Shannon was that on this meeting she presented us with several prospectuses on pieces of property that might interest us. Then she changed from the dress shoes she was wearing to hiking boots so that she could walk the properties with us. We remember her saying that she “couldn’t sell property to a perspective buyer, if she couldn’t walk it with her clients”. A small detail to some, but to us it showed a level of professionalism that until then we had not experienced. We did end up making the purchase and continued to find Shannon to be very helpful, courteous and professional. Shannon’s follow up was extremely important as well because we had to leave and head back to Florida before the deal could be finalized. We have to say that in this time when businesses, companies and individuals take their customers for granted, Shannon Tipton goes the second and third mile to make the buying process go a smoothly as possible. When all was said and done, we feel that we did not only find a great realtor, but a true friend as well. Ken & Cheri |

Shannon,
Just a brief note to
pass on my sincere thanks for the great service you
provided in finding the ideal mountain property for
me, but also for the incredible customer service
that you've provided long after the sale.
Three things immediately
come to mind that describe the difference in the
service you provide.
1. You're far, far more
knowledgeable of the Blount County area (especially
Townsend and Walland) than other realtors that I'd
contacted. Having grown up in that area, you knew
it inside and out, and freely shared your views of
the pros and cons of different areas and
neighborhoods. In fact, I'd never have found my
"dream lot" without your insight, since it wasn't
even on the MLS at that time.
2. You listened, and
listened closely, to what I was saying, and
understood what I was looking for... and screened
the available properties accordingly. You didn't
just try to push your current listings or "play them
up" over other things on the market. You
objectively described things -- and you were quite
knowledgeable of ALL the current listings in the
area, and quite patient -- and let me decide for
myself, with absolutely no pressure.
3. You've gone well
beyond any level of customer service that could
reasonably be expected, even after the sale, when
dealing with my ongoing questions. Long after
closing, I still felt comfortable calling with a
question or issue, and you always got right back to
me with an answer.
As a retired military
guy, I've lived all over the country. This was by
far the best experience I've ever had with a
realtor! It was truly a pleasure -- I feel like
I've made a new friend in East Tennessee!
Sincerely,
Kent Thomas
